Howard Drops 26 as Rivalry Sparks Fly in Heritage Win Over Frisco

Frisco, Texas — February 3, 2026

In a heated district rivalry matchup, Heritage High School pulled away in the second half to earn a 78–60 win over Frisco High on Tuesday night, but the game featured far more than just the final score.

Frisco senior Bryson Howard led all scorers with 26 points, putting together a statement performance just days after being left off the McDonald’s All-American roster. Howard attacked the basket with confidence and knocked down shots from all three levels, keeping the Raccoons within striking distance early.

The energy inside the gym reflected the moment. Frisco’s student section rallied behind their star, breaking out chants of “No more McDonald’s!” as Howard continued to score, turning the matchup into a full-blown rivalry atmosphere.

Heritage responded on the court and off it. The Coyotes used balanced scoring and defensive pressure to take control after halftime, slowly extending their lead and shutting down Frisco’s offensive rhythm. After the game, Heritage added a final jab on social media, posting a caption that read, “We like Chick-fil-A more anyway.”

Despite the loss, Howard’s performance stood out as one of the night’s biggest storylines, while Heritage’s depth and composure proved decisive down the stretch. With the postseason approaching, both teams left the court knowing this rivalry chapter won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
